Recently got myself a big stopper and with this challenge of long exposure I just had to try something. And there I had dreams of landscapes when I bought it..lol Figures my luck with this challenge
With some early rains after our winter I was fortunate to have some clouds I could work with to get this image. Only problem is all the clutter at the bottom forcing me to crop and rotate like mad. It's obvious this plane is not flying and the purpose was to get the message accross sentimental to this plane and us in general longing back to yesteryears. For aeroplanes - especially fast jets such as this Buccaneer the skies would have been their domain. You get the message.

Went to shoot and as per usual it did not take long before I was asked to remove myself. I always find myself frustrated and this really is not a secure place and unfortunately the standards and playing fields rarely are level for people in this country. I wanted one with a longer exposure to further the streaks but this had to do.

Hoping to finish with score above my average. At this point it looks safe at 6.5

Congratulations on the HM Rian. I know you were worried about elements of your original capture. I'm glad you persevered, cropped as you did, edited splendidly, and submitted. Suspect you're glad too. Way to go buddy!

It was better in the old days, even with restrictions in some areas one was not seen as a terrorist. Now it's like living in a Soviet controlled state where no photography was allowed anywhere. Just raise a camera in Moz...
Archaic and ridiculous. Security guards are not educated as to the law and are only doing what they are being told by their even less educated employers.

Baie goeie een Rian. Die kontras tussen skerp/dof is baie goed gedoen.

So close to a ribbon but well done on a good HM Rian. Longer streaks would have been nice but... Well stick to landscapes - people don't ask you to leave shooting that normally.

So do I...looks like SADF emblem? Not sure which aircraft! Nice sky blur yet aircraft sharp. Good technique.

Oh Great shot. Cloud movement and stationary aeroplane. Lovely

Great technique to use the motion of the clouds to create the illusion that the jet is moving - especially around the nose.

I like te dynamic the "moving" clouds add to this
