Waited until the very last day. Just at dusk. Unfortunately, the rain had finished.

I was hoping for some good reflections. William & Mary has great brick sidewalks that do some wonderful shadows and reflections on a rainy night.

Reflections -- nope. Weren't working.

Tripod. Didn't want to carry it around. Big mistake.

Hardly anyone on campus. Had to wait chunks of time for someone to come by.

While I was waiting for people, I noticed the reflections of the streetlight in the puddles. Loved the reflections. Played with trying to photograph the reflections while waiting.

When someone finally came by, I set myself up to try to get the reflection and the people. This is the best I could get. I love what happened with their shadows. The girl isn't pregnant -- she'd hate the photo. It was just an unfortunate timing/walking/movement/angle event. Sorry girl -- whoever you are!!

I thought this was kind of fun and quirky. Never thought it would make it past 6. 16 comments on a non-top 10 shot is so incredible cool! Thanks, all!!

Oh -- and huge thanks to my wonderful husband for keeping me company while wandering around the sidewalks. :)

Overall, I really like this image. Great composition, the silhouettes, shadows, reflecting lamp and deep blacks work together very well. Intriguing!
