 An attempt to remove the waterdrops from my front page

Colours were as gold as it appears

I have 300 more I can show you Hehe. Seriously, if you ever get an opportunity to come to Africa, Hwange in Zimbabwe is the best for elephants. The light is fantastic, and one may still manoeuvre around a dam to have the sun at your back.

Awesome image and congrats on the ribbon.

I am still not sure about the black border as it seems to take away from the golden moment, but I understand why you considered using it here with the limitations on picture width!

WD on the ribbon Herman! Just awesome Africa. Hwange of all places! You're right about African light. All that red soil dust in the air gives those stunning golds and yellows. It is different here.

Nou toe!!! Check net hier... BAIE geluk met die wen foto en ook die lint daarby. Jy weet nie hoe bly ek is vir jou nie en ek dink ek het laas jou naam gesien as een van die fotograwe wat op lys is as een van die beste fotograwe maar nog nie 'n lint nie..jammer...jy is nou af vanaf die lys :) Tyd om aan te beweeg en op te beweeg in die ranks...lol

Hwange selfs beter as Chobe! Baie geluk. Dit is waarvoor jy 'n kamera het. Moenie ophou nie. So jammer ek het nie gestem die afgelope weke nie, deadlines wag egter vir niemand nie. Baie geluk, dis 'n wonderlike foto en welverdiende lintjie.

I feel totally ashamed that your ribbon is yellow and mine is blue... if it were me giving out the ribbons... this one would have been the blue! It is one of my favorites of all my favorites!

my son wants me to give you a 10, b/c he loves elephants, but what spoils this is the ugly black frame, still I've been guilty of that as well, but this would of looked better without it, plus you've cropped the mother to the right off.

Lighting is a little to harsh, and I wish the shutter was a bit faster... Still my choice for 8th place though. Nicely captured.
