 crop
clone hair between eyes to "fill it in better" than what existed (prevent overexposure in level adjustment)
resize
levels (x2)
burn brush on back to ensure fabric lines are fully obscured
topaz adjust
save image
topaz detail
save as new image
import 'detail' image in as layer
set "black" opacity layer
brush out eye areas
group layers and merge-all so only eyes would merge down with detail onto original image at 100%
duplicate image as new layer
clone fur onto areas around eyes to cover pink 'eye gunk'
set layer opacity to 50ish percent
merge layers
save as new image
freehand selection tool on stringy chew toy
color replace for red/magenta colours to blue-tint to make it less distracting to the image without changing the nature of the image
magic-wand select on dog bed
topaz detail to bring out sharpness/colour of bed
save for web as new version and upload

Very cute dog, but the harsh lighting from the on camera flash created a lot of shadows that give this a more snapshot like feel. Softer light is really needed to give that glow that the top images were able to achieve.
