 Because he'd pulled an all-nighter, I chauffeured my sweetie to a meeting he had in San Diego, taking advantage of the trip to call my buddy, LevT. He recommended a couple of places for me to go shooting while sweetie had his meeting, and agreed to meet up for dinner in the evening. Thank you, Lev!!!!

I decided on Sunset Cliffs which turned out to be truly spectacular, but most decidedly not what comes to mind when you hear "beach". I had originally entered something much less "beachy" but chickened out for this image, which is still not quite "beach", but more so than the other. I love the moodiness here (emphasizes a bit with pp'g). This was at the end of the day, heading back to my car. The owner was nowhere in sight.

I spent the last week at a lake cottage with no internet access, so I did not get a chance to look through these. I love this shot -- such nice, rich warm tones (pp enhanced or not). Congrats on the top ten and a lovely image. Now I am curious to see your first choice that you chickened out on.

Loved this one during voting...and very surprised to see this is yours Johanna! The bicycle threw me off thinking it was one of our famous (or imfamous) cycling photogs!

It's good you found one with a slightly lower POV to get the separation. And the shadow's fabulous. Commenting only.
