Photographer’s Notes
I live about a half mile from the 520-toll way that crosses Lake Washington between Seattle and Bellevue (Washington). It is undergoing substantial improvement which requires rebuilding a few bridges that cross the highway. The rebuilding involves demolishing the old structures, which were built from reinforced concrete.

As of now, the new bridges are in place and the old ones are coming down. They are using super powerful giganto tracked jackhammers to break the concrete up, likewise giganto mechanical pincers to cut the concrete up, and likewise giganto trucks to haul away the rubble. It’s LOUD – 95 decibels and up. But it’s fascinating to watch them work.

So after a walk to our favorite coffee shop Saturday morning, we continued on to the site of one of the demolitions to watch them at work. The only camera I had with me was my iPhone. Here’s the result. Check out wall in the foreground that will be gone by nightfall.

Cool image, but why did you choose to crop it this way? And why can't I see the entire front end loader - the bucket is the best bit of that one!

I think a bit more of the water in the pit and a bit more of the arm of the excavator would have been nice.

Processing is fine here, but I think it could have been pushed a bit further, but no more sharpening, you pretty much just nailed that.
