Great detail on this shot. Did you try any other focuses or settings to play with the depth of field?

the lines in this photo draw my eyes up towards a very cramped top edge... I'd have liked to see more of the horizon

Very cool picture, though the way the track cuts through it makes for a strange balance effect.

This picture has a lot of motion -- that is the eye is transported to the top. the shadow also makes a neat contrast at the bottom of the picture. I like it.

well taken shot and nicely imaginative. the railway line also acts as a nice transition between light and shadow.

Good shine off the rails, but I wonder what would happen if you used the angle from the other direction at the crux of the points.

Looks good. Not really crazy about train tracks though.

Yea stay on transition. Whats the transition?
04/22/2002 12:55:00 PM
I had to change my vote from a 7 to a 9 - you did a great job capturing the transition - you truly understood what it means

Nice focus over the entire image, as I scrolled down, I expected the track to be blurry as it got closer to the camera, but it looks very sharp.

good shot
04/22/2002 10:09:00 AM
cool shot - good leading lines through the picture and interesting contrast with the sunlight and shadow.

Framing could maybe have had the track to the right of the shot a bit more to fill the empty space ?

Ah very nicely done. This is the second train track shot I've seen, and the better of the two.

something about the way perspective works in this shot with the composition leaves me feeling like something is not quite right, like there's some kind of optical illusion going on I can't quite get
