Three images here. The fly macro (focus stacked, so more than three images in total I suppose!), the background in the swatting shot, and my hand. The fly in the bottom is the same as the one in the top, but with some adjustments to make temperatures match, etc (badly done, of course). It's hard to get them all to look like they're in the same image. It's far from seamless. I think it's a fun image. Hope you enjoy it! :-)

I agree with tangy completely. Second image isn't nearly as good as the first. My outtake consists of a better... quality match, but doesn't convey a story as much as this did. So this was a no-brainer for an entry to me. I should have shot the hand and background in the same image. I don't know why I didn't, to be honest.
I also disagree with Tiny entirely! :-) I find motion blur corney, and I feel its inclusion would have contrasted (badly!) with the (over) sharpness of the first image.
No flies were hurt during the creation of this image, Neat, so I'm not THAT mean! :-)

| That top photo is quite extraordinary. The quality of the second image is nowhere near as good, although it does tell the story. I wish the arm had been pp'd the same way as the fly on top |

| The bottom fly looks a little wrong and the arm should been given some motion blur to add impact.Still a fine image and in my top ten for sure. |
