 Taken in my garden.. this is a snail I put upside down and took macro shots of while it slowly emerged from its shell. Shots taken with my old Vivitar 55mm Manual Focus Macro lens (M42 fitment with adapter).

Editing (corel painshop pro X4): cropped, adjusted brightness and contrast using levels, cloned out a a little bit of top right hand corner which was lighter in colour and i felt was distracting, adjusted overall colour balance to get it more blue/purple in colour, denoised with topaz denoise 4, sharpend with topaz sharpen, resized for challenge, slight high pass sharpen then saved.
