 Sunset at Sensoji Temple in the Asakusa ward of Tokyo.

For the final version, I tweaked levels and curves, cropped a bit and cloned out a few spots, then burned a little bit of the clouds for more contrast.

Thanks, Jon! My wife can't believe it did as well as it did. :-) I have no complaints at all about such a score and am really happy at my percentile in such an exceptional challenge.

Amazing. This was my first auto 10 of the challenge. I love the colors, and the birds...great example of right place right time. Well done. I wanna go visit Japan!

Nice approach and I can definitely see this in a guide. The extra interest of the birds really helps this and as such has lifted it from the ordinary to special status. Your treatment is almost excessive but not quite! I love this.

At first glance, this shot didn't do much for me, but the more I look at it, the more I like it. It really conveys a feeling of motion. I feel the sky moving behing the birds. Great shot!

Such interesting Japanese architecture. Immediately evokes feelings of the mysterious orient. Nicely done image with silhouettes of buildings and birds - and that colorful sky! It would do great in a travel brochure. At least, it would attract me! Congratulations.

This is a beautiful picture and a work of art in its own right - but I just can't bring myself to think of it as a photograph.

A solid 8 anyway - which is the highest I've given so far.

I think the buildings and birds in silouette are interesting shapes but the overall composition leaves me flat.

Excellent color although I could never imagine the sky being that shade of purple. Normally I'd say the birds are a distraction but since there are so many of them, it's a welcomed addition and makes it seems more like a tourist or gathering spot.
