So, I've read one of Ray Bradbury's stories (Farenheit 451) because we had to - in school. He just didn't interest me much when I was a kid....but after deciding to enter this challenge, I reviewed a few of his stories and they are definitely something I will have to read now.
I decided to use this title initially because the weather was quite nasty on the day I found out about the challenge, and after quickly searching through the list of titles I decided it might just work. Then, I decided that would be too easy, I should really make more of an effort so people who are familiar with his work could make a better connection to the photo. I must admit I did not read the entire story, only a quick review of it. So, I took some key elements and made it into this photo....it may not represent things in an entirley proper manner but I worked with what I had. My husband is very patient man, that's all I can say. Also, I'm taking some advice from "tanguera" and putting myself into a zone where I'm not so comfortable. Guess we'll see how it pans out!
BTW, I was going to try to put a dinosaur in there somewhere, but after the Art Roflmao challenge I gave my model away to the kid next door :) |

The butterfly makes the shot. Contrast, not visually, but mentally.
Turning the hunter around, so the hunter's face and the butterfly are both in the shot could have worked better... with the hunter focused on his target, but his eyes making a momentary glimpse at the symbol of innocence. |
