 I HOPE YOU ARE NOT OFFENDED BY THIS STRONGLY COLOURED IMAGE. I WANTED TO CREATED SOMETHING DIFFERENT FOR THIS CHALLENGE, TAKING INSPIRATION FROM YOUR TECHNIQUES, AND I PARTICULARLY LIKED YOUR "NEGATIVE AGAVE" IMAGE. WHILE TRYINGC OUT DIFFERENT THINGS THIS IMAGE SLOWLY EMERGED.
I ATTENDED A TALK ON UNDERWATER PHOTOGRAPHY YESTERDAY AND I GUESS THIS ALSO INFLUENCED MY CHOICE TODAY. I FIND THE ALMOST 3D FEEL OF THE 2 PETALS QUITE INTERESTING.


I USED A 12 MM EXTENSION TUBE IN ADDITION TO THE LENS.
HERE IS THE ORIGINAL PICTURE, IF ANYBODY IS INTERESTED.
I TURNED THE FLOWER UPSIDE DOWN AND LOOKED UP BEHIND THE LIP

I am starting to really enjoy the post processing. I agree, you can make a completely new image - its fun :-).

I like what you did with this. Sometimes I think processing is just another lens, a way to see.
