Lens Flare is a character I created awhile back to be featured in a AE storyline in the online City of Heroes game. So of course her secret I.D. is a photographer:-)

Yes, that is me. That is my bow and my hair does not have that fire flowing goodness:-). I am wearing the same red wig I used for Merry Sunshine My shirt is a colorblock compression shirt that can be found at any sporting goods store....seriously some of these shirts look like superhero attire.

I had to make sure that I did not release the arrow and shoot out the top of our sliding glass door on our back porch where I was pointing it. I did not want to point the other way because that would have meant pointing at our neighbor's yards. I'm sure the neighbors really think I am nuts now.... It's not really good to draw the string of the bow the many times I did and not allow it full release. And yes, it does annoy me that I did not draw my bow properly, but bringing the draw back up to my cheek did not look good for the 'comic book action'. Argh I realized I did not use a proper 3 finger pull!

The fire aspect to the hair and arrow were created from fireball flames created with hairspray and a candle flame...something I would advocate doing EXTREMELY carefully because it almost got out of hand.

The backdrop...it is the casing on my excercise bike. . And here I thought I was going to have to scour the city for some 'futuristic' or Avenger's high tech looking building! I love thinking out of the box:-)

Lens Flare's Reticle was created from pictures I took of bolts & screws, one of my Cannon Lens Caps, a portion of the arrow blade for target sight, a portion of the decorative casing on the exercise bike and the bottom end of the a pilsner glass.

Great shot and well done on achieving a very futuristic feel to it. Love the detail in the bow and the flames are well done.

A very nice image. Deserving of high marks. If I had any criticism it would be the lighting, particularly on the face. I think if there was a little more light it would create a more visually striking image. Was on the fence between 7 and 8 on this, but comparing it to some of the other entries... 8 for sure lol
