The negative space in this photo adds a mystery to you. It like part of you is out in the open and part of you is hidden. Or, maybe there is a darker side to you LOL? Just kidding...Great photo.

Excellent light side/dark side shot. The two lines of light (lips & eyebrow) making their way into the dark side are the only things wrong with this shot, and they don't detract from it much. Focus & composition are absolutely spot on.

On the verge of what? A win? ; )

Great focus, DOF (clarity of face as compared to shoulder). I like the dramatic lighting. Your eyes lead me to the left, where the fram ends. I think this would work much better with more blackness to the left of the face (at least for my personal tastes). Nice shot and good luck in the challenge. Smellyfish1002

Wow! I love the incredible shadow, with just a hint of browbone catching the light on that side. Incredible, and handsome, too!

I like it. I love these really shadowwy pictures.

Tells a lot about the subject without revealing the whole face.

Somewhat similar to my shot. I like the framing and the shadow a lot. The face here strikes me as being remarkably crisp and smooth, with a perfect complexion (almost to the point of looking surreal or made up) which creates an interesting effect. It might have improved it slightly if the lighting weren't more concentrated on the cheek than the forhead. Great shot though. 8

I would like to see the man in the right side of the frame. When you look at a picture you look at it from the left side to the right. And with the man on the left side you just stop. Good picture though. One of my highest rated in this challenge. (arnit)

I like this one. Focus and composition is good. Perhaps some reflected light in his face at right would have made it more interesting. Anyway a good shot = high score.

Looks like Ben Afflek's little brother. I think his name is Cassey. Anyway, I like the lighting very much. The dramatic shadow is really cool. Focus and clarity are good as well. You show some awesome detail here. Great angle and framing/cropping. Good luck in the challenge.

of what?

This shot feels unbalanced to me. I really want to see just a bit more light on the right side of his face. I like the lighting that makes the clean sharp edge of his face on the left, and I like that the other side fades into the blackness, but I really feel like I need to see just the hint of his features on the right.

Good light, good focus, good tones. I like this very much. Good luck to you.

Nice effect. The composition put it in the rule of 1/3rds catagory. This would have been an awsome shot for the "negative space" challenge.

Interesting Idea. I like the lighting up of only half the face. I am not sure about the expression or the title, maybe a littl too depressing to me.

Fantastic composition and lighting. I like how the light is only half on his face. Nicely done.
