Thanks everyone!

I'll be going back to play with the lighting and such later. I agree with you and the brightness of the woods and her cloak really didn't make me happy, but it came down to the wire with editing so I just couldn't do anymore...

You did good here, Ami! Congtrats on the top 20!

I agree with VisiBlanco. You should work on it and see what you come up with.

Excellent photo!

Congrats on your 15th place finish; I really liked this one. The woods seem a bit "busy" to me and may have been imporoved if it were a bit darker.

Nice placement of the red against the green and brown background. How did you manage to get the figure so smoothly lit when everything else is dappled?

Beautiful photo with excellent softening effects and nice dark colors. The burned parts seem a little high in contrast, so they stand out maybe a bit too uch, but that's a very smalll nitpick. This is a really great shot and very nice computer work.

The title is pretty in French : )

This is pretty bright, and for me "hides" the subject a bit (I have some troubles with reds anyway). I think I'd have made the forest dark and gloomy ... but maybe this was early in her journey.

Great idea - not wildly original, but doeasn't matter at all - and well posed and located. Good composition, too - placement of girl in frame, choice of trees and movement of the path through frame, allowing enough 'forest' to be a major element. But it lacks mystery, unfortunately - lacks any kind of mystery for me. I cannot believe the wood would have been such a friendly sunny place as this. I think with a lot of selective darkening of certain areas - the ground, mainly, and the vanishing point of the path, that might have been achieved taking this as a base. It cries out for a more ghostly, threatening light. But good work, nonetheless.

I think it's a little bit too bright. The soft focus looks good but it also washes out around the highlights. If you exposed this slightly less I think i would like it more.

Nice shot. I like the composition in that she's off to the side and my eyes are drawn down a somewhat menacing lane. It may be the pc but I'd like the red a bit softer.
