or for the hard of hearing... :)
27th place must owe a fair bit to the title and story - grunge is a social comment invited by the theme, but I wouldn't have expected dpc favours on it...
well earned, sir

Didn't peg this as yours.
You can also debate with Steve whether the dip in the 6's warrants a "love it or hate it" voting trend! :-) |

For me this personifies urban living. Nicely processed with a gritty city estate feel to it. Surely deserving a ribbon? |

Love the processing of this shot. The old junk, thrown out, I imagine most people will not associate with "urban landscape", but this is something I think of when hearing that challenge title. Perhaps that's why mine isn't scoring so highly? Anyways... I think this is a great entry, and wonderful picture, and you've done an excellent job here! |

"The legend lives on from the Urbanites on down
of the big chair they called "Barcalounger."
The cushion, it is said, never gives up her bread
when the skies of November turn gloomy.
With a load of copper ore twenty-six pennies or more
than the Barcalounger weighed empty,
that good chair and true was a bone to be chewed
when the "Gales of November" came early..." :+)
Seriously, great composition and texture to this shot, too bad the chair didn't make it. |
