Remie, excellent tutorial :) Being how I am, I like the black and white version best, but these are great shots... thanks for sharing :)

That picture was one of my favorites in that challenge, and I'm glad to know how to do it now. The set up is so simply, yet so effective. I really like the black and white one as well.

remie, thanks, awesome tutorial. you are obviously much more organized than me because you actually recorded how you changed the settings ... i may have to start doing that, because i can never re-edit a photo quite the same way as before :)

Thanks for the very helpful explanations, Remie. Now I know why there was no shadow of the pencils on the backgound! Somehow it never occurred me that they were not lying directly on the sheets of paper but hovering above them. Cool idea :-)

I like the B&W too. Very "Escheresque"

I liked both versions of your photo idea. The thing that excites me most is how easy you make it seem....I know it probably wasn't that easy, but it gives me hope that I too might be able to create something so different and eye-catching with some trial and error. Thank you!!

OOOoooh!! I love the black and white, I think, even more than the red.

I wonder how the photo would look with the black pencil on the black surface and the white on the white, match the colours, but don't let them blend.

The only wisible parts would be the wooden parts of the pencils + the shadows on the outlines.

I am photoshop expert, but how I can put a Russian flag over my photo at 100% opacity and still can see the picture through it? it does not work, opacity is 100% what means fully transparent, but I cannot see under the flag help me

You will need to buy "Happy filter" from camera shop and stand in lime juice for best result.

Yeah....if you're a Photoshop expert, then I'm Cindy Crawford.

You don't need to go to a camera store for this popular filter.
Just go to your nearest Magadan department store.

You should know where it is if you live anywhere near this lively city. There it is. Right in the middle of town, not too far from the Bureau of Mines where you might have found the golden shnow!

You are a lucky person to be so close to so much excitement.
