I guess it's best to at least shoot the weddings when you're hired:

He was waiting for the new lens he bought on eBay.

Wow! I can't believe that! What I am more surprised is that he was able to get away with it 88 times. I photograph weddings and could never imagine doing that to any of my customers! Wow!

Nope, he's fresh fodder for the pitchfork gang. Though in this case the law may have pre-empted us; 3 years in prison...

"A wedding only happens one day in your life, and he stole that day from us," said victim Tara Morgan, just one of 88 people who were ripped off.

The divorce rate in America for first marriage, vs second or third marriage
50% percent of first marriages, 67% of second and 74% of third marriages end in divorce, according to Jennifer Baker of the Forest Institute of Professional Psychology in Springfield, Missouri.”

He is an idiot and deserves more jail time but looking on the bright side there is a really good chance she'll get to try it again!

i found a blog discussing it and it seems to be more than 88 -- those are just hte ones involved in the case. . . :(

according to what i'm reading, he was a real number.

$250,000/88 = $2,840 per customer average too, so he must have been getting pretty big deposits. The Barney Madof of wedding photographers. Amazing that he kept the scheme going that long.

I take exception to the articale referring to him as a " Former Wedding Photographer". He's actually a former con artist who ran a wedding photography scam.
