Wondering if a moderator could lift my link restriction, it's becoming quite annoying :) Am a paying member and obviously have no intentions of spamming. Thanks for your help!

I would try sending a ticket to SC to resolve this. Just click on Help, then Contact Us.

Not that I can help you, but I didn't realize they put a link restriction on new users. I applaud them for that, and I'd suggest just waiting out the time table for the restriction to be lifted on it's own. We all have rules was have to follow, doesn't mean we have to like them. :D

what's a link restriction and how does it work?? what does it prevent ?? just curious.. I've never heard of this..

It is like a cooling period before you buy a gun. It would be in place to prevent people who sign up just for the sake of promoting their own website or business from posting spam/links the second after they register. It is in place to help control spam which as become way to common around here the past few months. Kudo's to DPC for putting up a fence. However, I am not sure I agree with restricting someone who paid to be a member because they haven't stopped the obvious spamming of a couple of other paying members.

Which is a great feature because I got so mad when new users would post those spam links, I went to put an end to them once and for all, but I had to wait so long to get a handgun that I lost interest.

Old thread. He must have had a membership for a month. He would not have been able to upload here otherwise.

I agree with many people posting above, it just makes no sense for paying members to have a link restriction!!! :(

That's weird......if you click on him, it says he's a user only......if you scroll down, and click on View Potfolio, it says he has no portfolio.

Yet that link works......

I can't say specifically, but it's a few posts or a few days.

Can you give us a general description of what you needed to post?
