My husband and I enjoy bird watching and I am always trying to take good pictures of birds. Every area of the world has different birds so please post bird pictures you have taken so we can have some on-line bird watching!

Here are two I've taken recently:

very nice, esp the hawk, a great feel to get birds in the wild vs. zoo setting : )

Lovely, Rich, the blue on the bluebird is fantastic! Just looked up the Kestrel in my bird book as I haven't seen one before.

Do ducks count? ; )
This is my favourite recent shot...

While there's a whole bunch of birds of prey here.
(If anybody would like to put names to these birds, please feel free!)

Thank you - your pics are excellent as well. The blue on the bluebird REALLY gets pumped up when I use a fill flash on these birds - in some shots they seem to almost glow.

I think that your duck may be a goose! Ducks don't usually have such a long neck. It is a great picture, so clear. The birds of prey are nice, too. I especially enjoyed the owl pictures, have been trying to get an owl picture myself for ages. Since we don't have any sort of bird centers here you must capture them in the wild. There are tons of owls here but they are always out in low light and so hard to photograph.

lol, that would be typical for me!
It is duck-sized though. Maybe this photo shows it better?

nice shots, I like the web site interface. Did you design it?

I'm sure there is a good story behind this shot :)
