Well I'll be, a Welcome Centre :)
Hi my name is Harvey, I have an addiction, it's called a DSLR and has too many settings and options.
It all started way back in '76 when I bought a Fujica 110 in Hong Kong and used it on a lengthy holiday halfway round the globe. I was 11. The flashes were supercool, a 3" plastic tube with a 4 way magnesium style 'bulb' at the top that rotated as you wound the film. I took a picture of communist China with it over the border, the guards didn't look to pleased. I still have it, boxed. Maybe I can auction it on eBay and buy an AF-S NIKKOR 600mm f/4G ED VR with the proceeds :)
Next came a real camera, an XG-M in '82/'83 and then an XD-7 in about '84/'85 and used them until a few years back when D&P went through the roof. Bought a *cough* Canon P&S for basic web and family work until my neighbour sent it flying off the table with his drunk elbow.
Became the proud owner of a D90 on Father's Day '09 and have rediscovered my addiction.
Well I hope I see you all next week at the follow up meeting, and we can compare meds and practice hyperventilating.
Other crap rambling is on my profile.
Great to have made a few friends already and thanks for all the super advice and tips and PM's thus far.
Now step away from the keyboard, gently, gently...
Cheers ;p
