Many Photoshop tutorials also apply to concepts in PaintShop Pro, but it is always nice to have stuff that applies specifically to your own weapon of choice. I'm going to start a list and try add to it whenever I run across something useful that is PaintShop Pro specific. Please add your own if you know of some that I have missed, I'm sure there are plenty more.

Not at all. I believe it is third most popular on this site after Photoshop and Photoshop Elements. I would love to see some stats, but unless software gets a category in our profiles like cameras, I don't think there is any way of gaining a reasonable head count. |

Thanks for doing this. I too am a PSP user and can't justify the price of Photoshop. Adobe has always had a bit of an attitude about pricing its software high and making sure the secondary market does not discount it.

Nope not at all!
I dl'd the 30 day trial of CS whatever it is this month, I used it for about 20 day and shiznit canned it. I would have bought it if it had $500 dollars worth of something extra...it did not.
Here's a tip, with the money you saved grab a copy of Nik Color Efex Pro (and/or Viveza) and plug that into PSP; that is all one needs...and we don't have to do a Major ($$$) upgrade with dobe every other year. :)
YO Yo_spiff, thanks for the links ... It's nice to see that all PSP sites don't relate to scrapbooking.
I do have a bunch of tuts lying around that I should put up somewhere...

There is a performance enhancing update (mine is PSP X2 Ultimate) that really does make PSPX2 Ultimate zippy. If you are not seeing it automatically (one pc asked if I wanted to install the update when shutting PSP down...another did not ask), while in PSP click Help > Check for updates.
It was kind of dumb in that it asked if I wanted to install now (I said yes), and then said it couldn't install because PSP was running...so just save it disk and then install or once the install starts close PSP.
I don't know what else it does, but it does seem to increase the performace. |

| Thanks. I checked the first few out. Nothing new really -- well, I learned what Merge Down does and Show all versus Hide All when working with masks. I'll be curious to check out his one on high key treatment. Maybe tonight. |

Hi,
How can I use this to resize my photos to meet dpc challenge size requirements? I just tried to upload a photo for a new challenge and it was not allowed due to its size. Please help! I am confounded by this program. Thanks so much. |

Not to my knowledge from within PSP. I was going to give you a link to the PSP group on Flickr, but I see you have already been there as well.
I'd suggest the best way may be to find a Pantone chart that you can print out or view from within any application. Such as this one.

Thank you YS for the chart. What I am trying to do is find a workflow for duotones similar to PS and duplicate it in PSP X2 if possible. With PS CS2 they have a curve associated with each color and the color can be adjusted using the curve. I have a selenium preset for PS that I want to reproduce with PSP X2 and the first step is getting the Pantone colors into PSP X2. Thank you again for your help.
