Here be the place to post your pinhole/zoneplate images! Anyone can hop on board at any time, even if you aren't already in the list below.

The rules are very simple, and few:

1. Lensless shots only please - use a pinhole, a zone plate, pinhole sieve, etc. anything but a lens on your camera to achieve your images.

2. No restrictions on editing or methods - film is just as good as digital, and any editing levels are fair game. Post it straight from the camera, or dress it up with an overlay, it's all your own choice.

3. There are no limits on how often you should post or how much, or that the images must be taken during April. If you can only do one a week, fine. If you want to post every day, knock yourself out. Post images pre-April that you haven't got around to processing yet? Go for it. It's up to you.

I have special permission from Karen to post two shots on day one. She's trying to avoid a prosecution.

These are done with a home made pinhole constructed from an old lensbaby body and a Kodak 35mm film canister lid. Hole made in the canister lid with a hot pin. The images are comfortably numb because the hole is too big, too far away from the sensor, and too rough. Just as I'd hoped.

It's going to be a great month of low-fidelity photography (my favorite kind).

I uploaded this a while back but thought I'd make it my inaugural offering here. Couple reasons: One, I haven't gotten any comments on it yet. Two, I posted it at Flickr and it's the only one of my photos there to have been favorited (twice). Not that I have a lot going on over there, but someone must like it...

More to come!

Okay, but I hope folks won't go hog wild with processing. Pinhole images, right off the camera, have such a unique and subtle charm that it's easy to lose that in post processing. Just my two cents. I think most of us here get that. Of course, I'm always open to new ideas...

Well, I did go hog wild processing this one. The straight from the camera shot did nothing for me. This does just a bit more than that, but as a boater I like the ominous look of the dark water... This was shot just before noon on a bright day.

Second post today because I am unexpectedly away for several days, maybe a week.

This is with my second home made pinhole, a more conventional body cap type like this. But I've got some measurements or dimensions wrong, and it's too soft even for me. Back to the drawing board.

this is all I have in the queue right now - might not be able to post again until the weekend, unless I happen on something good during the work week.

While checking out some film cameras, I found this:

Cool Pinhole Camera

I guess we were all ahead of the curve on this one.

This was my recent 1 Second Exposure entry. The comments seem to indicate that the pinhole effect was lost on the voters. Thought I'd ask a more sympathetic crowd for revised feedback.

Wow, things have slowed down fast!

Here's my first analog attempt. It's from a camera something along these lines...
