...I feel that I should discuss a very personal matter with you all togive you some insight into my mind.
When I was just 3 years old, I got my arm stuck in a plug socket and got electrocuted. The when I was in my early teens I accidentally dropped my kitten in a blender. These two moments have left me with very strange thoughts and I often have unusual outbursts. |

Ummm.....
Isn't there some basic given about treatment of newcomers?
Even if their first posts seem to be a tad obtuse, is that a jsutifiable reason to personally attack them, call them names, and generally lambaste them in public?
I distinctly remember being reprimanded for a lot less abusive posts than this.

by this standard my priveliges should be revoked, along with Art, Slippy and many others...Ipersonally had a good chuckle

| There was an extraordinarily inappropriate post by the same person in another thread--so it was a cumulative thing. The other post, and related replies were summarily deleted. So it was not just this thread that triggered the response from SC. |

Except that this comment was made in a public forum in a manner which would normally garner a reprimand, for something that should probably have been handled off list.

I propose that "Please don't be an asshat, as your posting privileges may be suspended." be included, verbatim, into the Terms Of Service.
(I hope we do not end up with an "Asshat" challenge, though..... wait, I could WIN that sucker with a simple self-portrait.... hmmmm......) |
