Sorry if this has been already posted - I did a search and did not see it.

You can save 50% off any level membership at SmugMug. Use this code: YaHoO

Thanks Jay

Many do use it and I like the pro features which allow to to sell directly form the site. It's pricey though, so the 50% off would help many who might want to go that way.

I am still looking at alternatives that would cost less than $75. I did not know about CarbonMade. If there are any other sites that do the selling and present as well as the pro-level SmugMug, please post them here!

Still looking for that. I did notice a custom URL on pro galleries, so perhaps you can link one in.

But - this is part of the description:
Set your prices and make 85% of the markup. Sell digital downloads in three sizes with personal or commercial use licenses. SmugMug will take the order, pay the credit card processing fee, ship prints to your customer, provide stellar customer support and real-time reporting of sales.

Set prices by the image, by the gallery, or across your portfolio. Setting the price to zero removes it from your catalog.

We pay profits monthly when they exceed $500, and roll them into the next month's payment if they don't. We pay quarterly for profits of $200 — or upon request for any amount.

Love the setup, but not their rules.

Adding....

Just found this software and downloading the trial: Shozam

To get the custom URL you still need to register your domain name. It costs me $10.00 a year for a domain name.

Just to throw this out there -- in my dealings with them over the past two years, I can honestly say they have the best customer service of anyone I've ever experienced -- both in this industry and in general.

There has yet to be a situation where they did not do the extra 100% to make sure everyone was happy.

Also, if i dont have a pro account and someone buys a print do they get all the money?

If you don't have a Pro account, you can't set the prices, so it's only the print cost anyway.

I'm building mine right now, thanks for sharing yours. How did you get the homepage to feature the slideshow like that?

that 50% off is an awesome deal and smugmug is great

here is my website - lamontphotography I have been a member with them for a few years now

I got my custom domain though //www.godaddy.com also here is a link with godaddy coupon codes

Since they are giving you the 50% off coupon code I am not sure if my reference code will work but here it is gRqDsQdX03m9M

If that code works it will save you a few bucks during signup just look for the Referred by' field on the signup form

They have wonderfully easy tutorials for those of us that are html dummies. Sometimes a bit hard to find what you want, but it's there.

Is there a way to apply that to a renewal? Mine is up in April, and I have been debating whether or not to renew.

I just clicked this thread to ask the same question– is there a way to extend an existing membership?
