I emailed minorities@dpchallenge.com on 18 March to seek registration of my daughter. The terms of use request that this is done for those under 16. I never got a reply. I know admins are busy people but did I do the right thing? Is this arrangement still in force? Anyone else experience problems?

Thanks!

I've sent a note to the admins on your behalf. Sorry for the delay.

Terry, want to intercede on Paulinas behalf too? I have not been able to register her as well.

I've called their attention to this thread in general. I'm not sure what the delay is... if I get any new information I'll pass it on.

See this thread. Also, if you do a forum search under "waiver" you'll find a few other threads on this topic.

I am totally against allowing children to enter the DP Contests. I have enough trouble retaining my pride with my constantly mediocre images, I'm not sure I could take the indignity of being beaten by 11 year olds.......

I havent done the waiver form yet, but I am right after this post for my step-daughter (13) She loves to see pictures here also and has been wanting to take a picture and enter in a challenge too, So before the hot summer vacation gets here I guess I will get it done....
Rather her be here then in chat rooms........

We might just learn something from a childs point of view, they have so much spirit, fresh memories in their brains, the ability to crouch low or kneel on knees longer, and bend over backwards to take a picture!

Wonder why she stopped entering her pictures were good? Thats a good example of comments here arent going to be bad for a child to understand.

She is my daughter, and she may start again soon, she just received a camera of her own. Now I just need to get her registered. She loved receiving comments.

Try having your picture
clobbered by one taken by your own five year-old ...
