I'm a ST fan but I have been very disappointed with the last 4 or 5 movies and thought we had seen the end. I won't go see this but will definitely watch the BVD.

This isn't the end, this is the beginning! ;-)

I don't have any high hopes for this film - trying to go back and recreate the original series with different actors cannot possibly work well, IMO.

I'd rather have seen another movie in the TNG/DS9 era.

I hope that's not trying to be a standard abbreviation for Blue-Ray Video Disc -- BVD is a "classic" brand of underwear, especially those old red "long johns" popular during the 19th Century westward expansion by the US.

The Wild West Is Where I Want To Be
Words and music by Tom Lehrer ©1953 & 1954

Along the trail you'll find me lopin'
Where the spaces are wide open
In the land of the old A.E.C.
Where the scenery's attractive
And the air is radioactive
Oh, the wild west is where I want to be

'Mid the sagebrush and the cactus
I'll watch the fellers practice
Droppin bombs through the clean desert breeze
I'll have on my sombrero
And of course I'll wear a pair o'
Levis over my lead B.V.D.'s

I will leave the city's rush
Leave the fancy an the plush
Leave the snow and leave the slush
and the crowds
I will seek the desert's hush
Where the scenery is lush
How I long to see the mush-
room clouds

'Mid the yuccas and the thistles
I'll watch the guided missles
While the old F.B.I. watches me
Yes, I'll soon make my appearance
(Soon as I can get my clearance)
'Cause the wild west is where I want to be

It also stands for Bovine Viral Diarrhea, so Sony might want to rethink that one.

Still waiting for the damn thing to come out, and I am sick of waiting.

Stupid interest in the movie feeling.

I'll be camping out in front of the theater.

Actually it's BD. If you have a BD player (or PS3), a very large screen TV and great sound system that may be the best way to see it, but if you go to the theater at all THIS is the type of movie to see there in digital with a great surround sound system. Much more fulfilling to the senses than Sex in the City.
