There`s a solar eclipse happening right now.
Just snapped this between the clouds here in the UK. (with special filter)
Only a partial eclipse here, but someone here must be in the line of totality.

Tip top .... I had the camera all set up with the 400mm cleaned and ready and the cloud cover was 100% and was raining :(

It's now clear and sunny!

Nice shots, I was just going to use an ND8 ... what filter did you use?

We were supposed to be at about 95% this morning at 0630, but when I got out of bed the clouds were so thick you couldn't even see the sun. We ended up getting darker than we had been and for many people up here it was the first time they had seen any kind of darkness since the end of April.

Once again the photo gods were not smiling on me today.

I took some pictures here in Oslo - have to wait til I get home to download them etc. From what I can see on the camera monitor there's a fuzzy white circle with a bite out... - 1/8000 @ f/32 - heh.

I used a solar filter film.

Bit of cloud cover helps the filtering...or not.
1/000 f/32
1/8000 f/32 with an extra polariser that seems to have given me some flare...

Links because I am without portfolio
