I`ve been thinking in trying to enter Alamy, I know there`s a HUGE threadm but it is just so long now that I don`t have time to see if there are the responses for a couple of questions I have...

1. I am having trouble (or just not understanding) how my RAW files interact with photoshopCS3... In the Canon zoom browser I can get up to 12MP images in the top quality, but in psp as much as I ask for the largest file, and in photoshop it says it is a 48M+ file, when I save, and look for the image in the common windows explorer it says the size of the image is 6mp(I have make it work for like 14, but the in psp window it says is like 80M... ???

2. What is all that VAT and taxes stuff? I`m mexican, living in Mèxico, do I have to pay taxes there? here? nowhere? ... I don`t understand that either...

Can someone help me? :D thanks!!!

The 48MB (that's Mega-BYTE, not Mega-PIXEL) file they want is about 5000 x 3400 pixels.

Import your RAW image into Photoshop, go to Image Size, and increase the pixels (upsample) proportionally until it indicates that the file size will be 48MB or higher. Most people recommend using the BiCubic Smoother algorithm for this step.

Uncompressed file size, which is what they are talking about, can be calculated by multiplying:

#pixels_wide x #pixels_high x 3Bytes(Pixel = 24-bit RGB Color) / 1024 (Bytes/Megabyte) = File Size in MB

As long as you end up with the requisite number of pixels, it does not matter what the dpi is set to, nor does it matter how big the file ends up on disk once you resave in JPEG (compressed) format.

As you are outside the UK, you won't have to worry about it.
