Mine's gonna get squashed. I was working on an edit and had the rough draft in lol.

I guess some people don't have much of an imagination...

the speed voters are ripping mine a new one. 3.75. At least the other two challenges I'm in are at 6, balm for the wounds.

After 3 votes I was at 4.33, then after 4 votes I went to a 5... WOW!

Oops, chimed in too soon... after 6 votes I'm down to a 4... damn.

Holy crap. I can't believe these early votes. Trolls.

first 6 votes..... 7...7...8...7...1...1....is there something funny about this ?

Oh, I got a big old DNMC from a baghead who can't see the implied as well as the blatant. Oh well. At least there was a comment. There's some really nice entries in this challenge, looks like a lot of careful comp on most, at first glance.

I don't have a horse in this one, but it seems from first look that many people have interpreted the challenge as taking a picture of a triangle rather than using triangular composition...

I really don't even know where to go to start to vote on this one...

Yet again my genius surpasses the early voters. I love this site. Back to the drawing board!

Nary a right triangle in sight... I'm doomed! :)

I want to say that, I was going to vote and enjoy throwing out a few DNMC, then I looked a the thumbnails and saw mindless triangles in about 70-80% of them..... many with the triangle as the subject.

Yeah I'm not touching this one with a 10' pole

do you mark down if there are triangles in the photo?

^ I already explained this in another thread, and I am not actually going to be voting but.....

If I were to vote, I would do it along these basic criteria, because at first glance, around 80% of the photos didnt meet or only partially met the prompt. Which to refresh some memories was: "Compose a photo using an implied triangle to give attention to your subject(s)."

My analysis being: the submission must use implied triangles (not actual triangles), and the implied triangle(s) must enhance actual dominant subject of photo (subject not being a triangle btw).

Due to the massive amount of people who failed to read the prompt and think, if I were to vote this is how. First for each photo I would have to ask-

Does this photo:
1A) Have obvious actual triangles and no inferred triangles in the composition (DNMC).
1B) Have both inferred and actual triangles in photo (no - med deduction )
1C) Infer the triangles as the prompt says (GREAT, you can read)

And does this photo:

2A) Have inferred triangle(s) that give attention to your subject, the "subject" being other than the triangles (Great)
2B) Have triangles that were the subject (DNMC or large deduction)
2c) Have triangles that took away from the subject (medium deduction)
2D) Have triangles that did not give attention to the subject (minor deduction)

If the photo makes it through that, then continue on as usual.
It seems harsh, but this was a really hard prompt, and those who actually went out and did it correctly deserve to win. Those who saw triangle and shot triangles.... sorry but it just isn't fair to judge you the same as those who read, and put some effort into this challenge.

I have a feeling this challenge may stir up some words......
