I pull into the bank parking lot and almost pulled into one of the first two spots only to find the !@#$%* has parked well over the line and took up both spaces. Had to park at the end of the lot. Walk to ATM to make deposit. When I get back to the lot, the young woman who owned the car has the hood up and is monkeying with the battery cable. Normally I would have offered to help, but this time I said "Car trouble?" "It won't start", she replied. I glanced to the left and then the right of her car as she looked at me and I just replied "Parking Karma." and I walked away.

Just thought I'd share.

Now, how bad would you feel if you found out her car had died right as she pulled in and she had to coast into a spot??

FOR SHAME!!!

If indeed that were the case, would you not think that she would have been standing next to her car when Art first saw it...Sorry, I'm with Art on this one.

No excuse really. I've managed to even parallel park with no running engine and loss of power steering and power brakes!

In any event, if that were the case, the laws of Parking Karma would have come down on ME and I would have had to... park..... at the.... far end of the lot......... and walk all the way to the ATM. DOH!!

...or that she went inside to ask for help?

Perhaps I am different than most, but when I have car troubles I normally have the hood up first, try to figure things out and when I finally come to the conclusion that I have no idea what I am doing... I then go inside to ask for help, leaving the hood up, just to ensure I don't piss off people like Art. :O)

Man, I really hate when people do that. When I lived in Maryland, my bank was in a very small little building and connected to it was a bunch of food places...during lunchtime that place was packed. My bank had 5 parking spots that said "TFCU Parking Only" and all of them would be filled with idiots waiting in line at the Chipotle or the Panera Bread...I've seen a few cars get towed because someone ratted on them. Yay Parking Karma!

I like to save all my parking karma for xmas time. Mmmmmmm....

But SHHHHHH! There's someone at my work who likes to park as close as possible to my car on the driver's side every day - man I hate that!

I love it!

I have to bite my tongue every day when I pick my daughter up from school. There's this idiotic lazy family who always parks in an imaginary parking spot, between two handicapped spots. It's an area with white lines painted all over it, obviously meant to give extra room for people who use the handicapped spots.

But she apparently believes the lines are a sign from her home planet, signaling to her that this is HER spot.

I've complained to the secretary in the school, after learning that an actual handicapped person IS annoyed by this since her kids squeeze into their van and scrape up against his car in the process. But my complaints got nowhere since it turns out the principal has a similar imaginary spot elsewhere in the lot. What a fine example!

You know what really grinds my gears...

our department has a small parking lot designated for staff and faculty. This is first come, first serve....the rest have to park in the bigger lot across the street and a block away. there is nothing worse than walking through the freezing rain (as i did this morning) from the more distant lot, only to find many of the taken spots are tagged as students. Most of whom live on campus.

I find the majority of motorists to be inconsiderate, at the least, and dangerous at worst, at least here in the NY tri-state region (where I live). Very few drivers obey speed limits, drive while drinking their latte in one hand and talking on the cell phone with the other. Turn right on red where prohibited, drive on the shoulder to get around traffic, double park, tailgate, etc., etc. Motorists tend to feel entitled to scoff the law, imo, so why shouldn't this princess take liberties? I wonder what karma awaits reckless drivers.

Better yet, just take their tire valve cores. Works much better... remove two cores (the tool is basically a screw driver) and watch them try to inflate the tires.
