I recently started using an apple computer, a macbook pro with OS v. 10.4.10 , and I have been having problems viewing photos in DPP (the free Canon software). I did not have any problems on a PC. The pics show up with a gray haze over them, sharply reduced in contrast. I did not have this problem originally. I have uninstalled and reinstalled all my canon software multiple times, and the problem keeps recurring. The photos are not corrupted, i can view them fine in other programs. Has anyone else had similar problem, or does anyone know of a solution?
Thanks for any help in advance.

The OS v 10.4.10 is relatively new. The disk that came with your camera most likely pre-dates 10.4.10 and thus, your DPP isn't up to date with Apple's OS version. Because of this possibility, I suggest you go to the Canon web site and download the most recent DPP which should include an update to the most recent Apple programming. That failing, give canon a call, they've been really helpful with any problem I've had.

I am using the DPP updater v 3.02 that is the most recent dl on the site. I've also tried calling, to no avail, but maybe I'll try again.

Perhaps check the settings for color space and such to see if there may be a discrepancy there. This could cause inconsistencies.
