Is there any way that you can make an action work on a mask. I want to create a duplicate background layer, which is in color then de-saturate the duplicate with an action. Can this be done? If so how… I am using PHOTOSHOP CS 2
Many thanks for any input.

Just record everything you want to do as part of the action.

1) Start recording action
2) duplicate background
3) add hue/sat layer
4) Stop recording action

Or am I missing something?
