Just a note out there to all those who are going to vote in the Propoganda challenge.

Propoganda is:
- The promoting of ideas or morals; can be used for either good or bad purposes; used in all political elections, but also is things such as: Don't Do Drugs, Smokey the Bear, and Don't Drink and Drive; the perfect "whatever" could be considered propoganda as well

- Not the selling of merchandise (which is advertising)

I'm just afraid that some legitimate photos will get robbed of their scores because people might not realise this.

I think that's gonna happen anyway. Before the challenge deadline, there were several threads discussing the defintition of propaganda. A lot of people agreed that advertising was some form of propaganda. I'm not sure how I feel about it myself but if some advertisements and messages in them that mislead than I guess I would consider it to be propaganda.
Who knows what will happen. The results will be interesting. Can't wait!

I know, and I posted part of this in some of those threads, but it gets lost so easily. I mainly wanted to point out to people that things such as "Don't Drink & Drive" would also be considered propoganda, especially since I didn't understand that until I tried to come up with an idea for the challenge.

As a pasrticipant in the challenge, I thank you for getting the word out there. There is also a rant about voting on how to vote on pictures that dont meet this particular challenge. I personally think it sucks if people vote regardless of whether a picture meets the challenge or not. If a picture is great than that's all good but if it's great & doesnt fit the challenge & it is voted down for it than that kinda nullifies the whole challenge based contesting, right? That's just me. Like I said, if I feel a pic doesnt meet the challenge, will vote it down with a comment why I did so. That's fair right

Very. You're exactly right. A photo which may be AWESOME but doesn't fit the challenge, should not be rated higher than a photo which is just good or very good. It may be better in quality, but not in relevance.
