The red flag by the HAlloween challenge is new..... what does it mean???

I just noticed that too. Trying to look it up but nothing.Extra rules?

It means extra rules apply to this challenge.

If you hold your mouse arrow thingie over it it brings up a lil message saying that extra rules apply to the challenge... probably regarding the loosening of the editing rules.

Oh, I thought it was to stop trains.

I guess the extra rules meaning works too though ;)

I think the flag is there because it was a Speed Challenge.
edit: hmmm, that's not it; flaming clock is speed challenge.....huh.

Yep, the red flag is to let everyone know that there are special rules (or a relaxation of the rules as the case may be). A lot of people tend to submit DQ requests for images on challenges where the editing rules have been relaxed. The flag will help people recognize that there have been rule changes a little better.
