I spent 2 mornings on a small boat in the backwater canals and took almost 1000 images. In the conditions it was almost impossible to get a bad shot.

Falc glad it was you that had to decide which shot to enter! I would have had a nervous breakdown trying to pick one. : )

I tried to respond to some of the comments, but frankly I'm a bit disappointed in the score. I appreciate those who took the time to comment!

Here are 4 outtakes from the same session. I didn't think they were as powerful.

I like the composition of the outtake, and the warm tones, details, and exposure of the entry. :D

I should have posted this one!!!


You see, I just got from a trip to Monteverde (cloud forest and wonderful place) the 31st barely 6 hours before the submision deadline, so I browsed quickly through my pictures and decided on this one .
Later the next week after New Year's eve I went through my pictures and edited some of them and found the humming bird.
Anyway... Serves me well for posting in a hurry.
