I'm going mad, I need to convert a few (300+) JPEG files in CMYK format to RGB format for the web. The problem is, I haven't found any tool that does it. I finally made a action in Photoshop and tried to run it as a batch. (Open/convert/save), but I must be missing something obvious, because it isn't working, my files are still in CMYK format. What could I be doing wrong?

don't forget to include "close" as part of your action. it is always a little tidier to set up an "in" and "out" folder for the batch. put all the cmyk images into the "in" folder. choose this as your source in the batch... and the "out" folder as your destination. that way you will not save over your originals

Photoshop should do it -- try using "SaveAs" instead of "Save" and adding a suffix to the filename. Is it possible you are trying to overwrite ("Save") locked files (typically copied from a CD on a PC)?
