Have any one looked at your own shooting style to determine what type of photographer you are?

How many different types are there in the first place?

hee hee.. any takers?

I am a photographer that uses a Canon! As to whether I do it well or not is up to the viewer.

I'm the shy type who dare not shoot strangers in public places though I like doing that so much.

I'm just a "photographer" right now. Nothing specific, but my goal as a photographer is to be a gonzo-style photojournalist.

Hoping to do lots of human interest stories, maybe some sports.

I'll probably keep doing regular photo stuff on the side.

Bah!! I am not any type of photographer. I love life and I try to show the world what I see through my eyes. How can I restrict that to one or two categories......I can't!

Well I don't like shooting people... but I seem to be good at it >.< also abstract macro stuff

I think I am more a "graphic" style of photography, rather than a realistic one, but I also have always loved looking at whatever I am taking, and zone in to capture the design of the subject matter, rather than the realism.....I think that is why I love my "macro" lens..... I also enjoy candids, seascapes, and all types of nature best.....

You take the best fantasy and magical images I have ever seen, but I also love all your images, especially your self portraits, and also your nature ones as well.....

A lazy one.

Should shoot more.

When people ask what type of photographer I am I say I am a wedding photographer. This defines what I do for work but I also love to do other types of photography for my own enjoyment, like travel photography, landscapes, etc.

When I first started learning photography a few years back..
I like to call myself a "product photographer" .. cause I thought that's more "high-class" and up market.. (no offence)

but.. when I looked at what some of the real product photogrphers did..

I feel so ashame...
haha

The grumpy kind. Seems I can't manage more than 5 hours sleep at a time lately. When did I ask to be the mother of teens?? Ugh! GO BACK TO SCHOOL!

I second that motion!

Right now all I'd call myself is a DPC hack. In other words, I'm getting better at finding out what DPC wants and trying to deliver it. This excludes my sucky Stopped Motion entry.

I like landscapes, people, and macro.

Good luck with that!

Now that I think of it, I won't call myself an amateur photographer, I'll call myself a bad photographer. My recent streak of 2 last places and one second last bears this out.

Me? I am still searching for the answer to that question I guess. I especially enjoy nature and wildlife, and candids.

Many of the descriptors that have already been posted sometimes apply to me: lazy, shy, crappy, amateur, etc! The only thing I am NOT and don't think I ever will be is a wedding photograper... the pay is great but it's just not my cup o' tea! The thought of messing up at such an important, once-in-a-lifetime day for someone gives me the shudders!

In real-life I'm an air-traffic controller. Having a scope with 25 or 30 aircraft full of people mixing and dodging, not a problem. But an angry, or worse, heartbroken bride all teary-eyed because of something I did (whether my fault of not).... nope, couldn't handle that! Hat's off to you wedding shooters but that's an area that I would just as soon avoid!

Slightly below average, no discernible style.

Journalistic Nature Photographer...That is me! I like to capture to true nature of God's creation simply being itself (or themselves.) My digital technique is so poor right now that I can not accept it as the final definition of who I am as a photographer. Therefore, I will not stop until I have improved my technical skills to the level where you all tell me how good a photographer I am (pretty much the way I already know that I am good!) :)
