i had some comments about the color tint of my picture. i had struggled with which version to post prior to the challenge. now that it's done, I'd like to get some feedback as to what version people preferred. The blue one that I entered in the contest, or the other 2 versionsHERE..

Click on the link and then check out nita_transition1. and nita_transition1_bw.

Thanks!!

99, I like the one you submitted best. It looks like she is preparing to go out at nite, hence the blue tent.

I liked the color one WAY better. With the color one you can see that she's using blue lipstick and she's about to become, very wild, while in black and white it just looks like another woman putting on more lipstick.

Hey CG, which one did you like better? bw, color, or blue-tint bw?

I still like the b&w better -- helps me focus on the subject and not get distracted by everything that's going on. We can only guess what color that lipstick she's putting on is...

B&W for me too. My understanding of the transition was that she was putting on makeup - not blue lipstick. Colour of the mirror frame and the background kinda clashed as well.

between the blue tinted and b&w I thought the lipstick didn't show as well in the blue photo ... the stick itself isn't as distinct against her face, and the bits on her lips look like it may have been the lighting that caused the darkness

I always like B&W, but that's just me

personally I prefer the B&W /blue toned, rather than the natural shot.

Also wonder if it might have been better to have had the applied lipstick on the other, lighter side - maybe shown up more clearly

It's a good entry though - I was going to do something very similar, I just couldn't talk my model into spending the time to do half her makeup and half her hair - think she thought I'd make her look like two-face from batman...

just my 2c

yup, that was another angle I'd considered too - very rocky horror picture show :)
