KiwiShotz is the nickname of a DPC member. "Indoor bowls" is lawn bowling (also known as Bocce Ball in some parts of the US) brought indoors.
So translation is kari1 is trying out to become an unpire for an indoor sport and her friend kiwishotz is going to try too....and she's a slacker with a new job. ;-)
