We all know they're out there so I thought I'd start a thread tipping my hat, dedicated to some underated DPCers.

Show me who I've missed...someone that rarely makes all those favorites lists and never gets the gushing praise they certainly deserve...

I'll start with rscorp, who I'd discovered when someone mentioned a whole set of very cool images from Italy. Have a look...variety...color...style...control...the dudes got it going on

Not without a number of high scores but Dax isn't a name that's thrown around very often and she's got a portfolio full of creative, unique and rather soothing images.

Good choice MK, she is very underated here. Very!

Yes, he's definitely got talent! Here's some others that really know their way around a camera, but have somehow managed to stay under the Favorite Photographers radar:

mpeters

John White

Heh, I almost listed Dax-, but 203 favorites isn't exactly unknown!

Great idea. I've got a few but one of them is brizmama. She's got clean and crisp images, a wonderful sense of color and lighting. And I dig her landscapes. Love 'em ;)

Yes. Bea is indeed underrated :)

Angela Packard - She tries ideas all over the board, some score well, others not so well.

Here's someone to look out for: Zenjohn

He has a visceral understanding that a photograph exists in two dimensions and he exploits that to the fullest, creating rhythms in 2-dimensional space that have nothing to do with the 3D illusion that most people associate with photography.

I just hope he hasn't dropped off the face of the earth...

CalliopeKel is one of my favourites. "Dead Tree Walking" is very Group of Seven.

RKT shows that cats can make great subjects.

That cat's possesed.

Ha! Was just about to leave props for RKT myself. She's great.

As mk mentioned, Dax has a superb sense of composition, color, and light. I emailed Bea once trying to find out how she does her images i.e. the type of lighting, lenses, etc. and she made it sound all too easy.

Whereas most voters prefer sharp, crisp images, Bea has shown time and time again that a soft but beautifully rendered image speaks for itself.

She's easy to spot too aside from her lighting. She always uses the same border :P

SharonS does great work but doesn't get as much notice around here as she desreves.
