With out going into too much detail... I basically need a 4x6 photo holder with a cellophane covered window that I can hand out prints to guests. I know I've seen something similar before but can't find them anywhere online.
Anyone know what I'm talking about and where I can find them?
Thanks for any help! |

Did you try looking at your local camera shop? (assuming there is one near you)
The one here in my town has a pretty good section of different kinds of photo books, portfolios and things like that, I don't recall seeing anything specifically like you are wanting, but then I wasn't looking for that kind of thing :-) Anyway, it might be worth a look, if there is a shop near you. |

Well, I live in the boonies... the nearest camera store is 2 hours away. But it's worth a call. Thanks for the thought.
Anyone else? |

Di,
Thanks for the link. I had found them on my hunting and they are bit more expensive than we are looking for, plus I'd like just an envelope with a window and not a folder. It seems odd that something so simple is so hard to find. |

Yeah, I called them already as well. The didn't really have what I was looking for either. This is good that I'm tracking down companies that most people seem to use.
Keep 'em coming!
Oh and here's and example of something of what I want:
//www.noteworthyphoto.com/viewProductdetails.cfm?productID=135&categoryID=4
These are too big for what I want (need a 4x6) and I don't need anything imprinted on them. Plus I don't know if there is cellophane covering the window or not.
Thanks again!

Envelopes
A little large, but I couldn't find anything smaller.
here is the same sort of thing, smaller investment though. (smaller count to order.)

You could try //www.cellophanebag.com/
Plain cello bags with an adhesive strip to seal.
Used in greeting card shops.

Oh cool - those might work as well, though something stiffer would be better so that the photos aren't as easily bent. Maybe we could trim scrap cardboard to add additional support - though that's going to be a lot of cutting cardboard!
Thanks all for the continued help!!! |

4x6" file cards are about $2.00 per dz, and check out cutting charges at the local print shop (Kinko's or such) Thats a lot of cutting and your time has to be worth something. I don't know your volume or budget. |

Adorama has what I think you're looking for here (refine by 4x6 from the right panel in that link). Used them to get storage sleeves for my old SLR film *gasp!* prints. You'll get hit for tax since they are in NYC...
Now go and take some pretty pics of the Adirondacks for me :) Unfortunately, I haven't been able to get up that way for a while...
