to the Jump Challenge. I took this during the challenge week but never paid attention to it til last night. The shot that I entered is a personal fave but this one is better, I think. Both were taken on the same day. I hired a cab to take me around my province in the Philippines. I am building up a gallery of that trip and I'm gonna tell you as soon as I have enough to show.

your entry was great, but the second one is so dynamic and fun. Very cool.

Generally, I love your work. But, your entry in Jump I found so contrived and manipulative that I passed on voting on it. Obviously, I'm the dissenting opinion on that one:-).
Now, as to this out take. Wow. That's got 10 written all over it. What an incredible image. I wish someday I'll take that kind of photo. Yeh, that's the one you should have entered.
Of course, I am the dissenting opinion :-)

You should have gotten that old lady to jump for you ;)

The old lady had just colored her hair around that time. When i told her I was coming back, she told me she will change her hair color from pink to yellow. Just imagine the water turning yellow then.:)

I'm back in Bangkok and I won't see her again til July. By then, the dpchallenge people may not remember her anymore so I can post another picture of her for another challenge.:)

Fat chance of this happening, Manny. That picture of her was probably one of the most memorable photos I've seen here. I'll always remember that awesome photo.

As is often the case on this site, the heavy editing didn't really hurt the shot for me. The only thing that bothered me in your entry were the power lines in the corner. Your outtake is so different but very light and fun. Like comparing apples to oranges here. I gave your entry a 7 and of course its hard to say, but I may very well have given your outtake a 7 as well. I would have liked the outtake even more if you were shooting from a lower angle. Of course your work is always fantastic and quite in inspiration. One of my complementary colors entries is in part inspired by some of your amazing portriats. So thanks :)

These are both great shots... I really like the sky in the entry but the second one shows a lot of emotion. Great job on both.

I love your outtake and would have scored it higher, but how can you talk about "should have" when your picture came in 15th??
