If you had 600 dollars what would you do with it? My thoughts are put it towards a new Mac or a printer. My thought is a printer but can I get a good one for that price? Any suggestions.
Thanks

Canon PIXMA Pro9000 is coming out soon...that's what I'm saving for. From 13x19 prints down to 4x6, 100yr inks, rumored price of $500, looks good to me. :-)

Needed a printer a few weeks ago. Finally went for the epson R1800. It's an amazing printer. I also purchased this book and it's amazing too. I think for 600$ you could have both with a load of ilford smooth pearl paper to have fun with. |

I gave up on inkjets. At least for little stuff (11x14 and less). I find i might want one for 24" and bigger prints...but not enough demand for that yet. Epson 7800 does some nice prints...but costs $3,000.
I want a new monitor, prolly a whole new computer. And CS2.
So if i had $600 to spend on computer stuff..a new 17 or 19" lcd and CS2 upgrade.
Or maybe more lights...pocket wizards...a couple of 60" octaboxes...
Ok, If i had $2400 to spend...

Well I learned lot of things since I started to read it. I understand much more the importance of profiles and how to use them. I explain how rasterizing work and the truth behind printers specifications such as 5760 x 1440 dpi. I know better how to optimize an image for printing and im just to the 119th page now (there are over 300 in the book). |
