wOOt!
I just got an email that I was a category winner (not grand prize winner) in the lexar media Pets contest!
The Winners Gallery
I won:
-Customized Cover and 24/7 DOG book
-Webshots complimentary One-Year Premium Membership
The only other photo "win" I've had other than my second place ribbon here is on BetterPhoto, but there were about 10 second place winners :)
Sorry for tooting my horn, I am just happy!

Congratulations Neil! Is he wearing your hat...great shot from another DPC alumnus. I am happy for you, I know I'd be excited ,too, if it were me.

If you look in the Cat Winners there's another DPCer (kitten with camera).

Thanks Welland for posting that and the other contest. I don't enter many of these--I would like to but sometimes need to be prompted to do it!

Just finally looked up the prize--I was wondering if I was going to get a shot in the Dogz 24/7 book, but apparently, it's already published and the prize includes a customized cover. Value per the website is $29.95. (At least it's not one of those scams where you get your shot published and have to buy the book!

Thanks again everyone.
I am still curious what photos are in Dogs 24/7. It appears that they are from people, so it's possible that it might also include contest entries (I'd like that).
Anyone have the book, or have a photo in it? (Note: this is the same publisher as America 24/7.
The site goes over how these are/were collaborative projects, but I still can't tell if they're ongoing and/or republished multiple times with new photos. |

Thanks guys :) I was definately suprised when I got the email about winning. There is no living with my cat since he found out he is going to be on a book cover. He is currently seeking representation for some work in a few indie films.
