yeah... so I am overwhelmingly... dissappointed with the number of comments I have so far on my glass entry. I have a whopping ZERO (0). Yep... not a single one, with over 85 votes... thats pretty depressing... it either means its so awesome that people are speechless (doubtful with a score of 5.2something) or just very plain so no one has taken the time to comment on it yet... Well hopefully someone will get to it by the end of the challenge!

I'm all the way up to...one. I've made over a hundred, and I'm actually trying to be constructive. Guess not everyone wants to play this week with all the recent ranting about comments.

Or maybe they're all following the "vote first, comment later if I have time" theory.

its a hard balance to strike. I'm just now starting to make comments on postcards, so maybe glass will get more comments in the coming days. I too only have one comment with 85 votes.

I have one comment, fortunately it is positive :)

In the past, i would comment as i go along. I tend to respond emotionally to what i see and sometimes i found my enthusiasm dampened about a certain picture after i saw 200 more pictures. Then i did feel 'stuck' with that highly enthusiastic comment and rating (i always give my vote on the comment as well), since it is sort of nasty to say: btw, one day later i actually like your picture a whole lot less and i revise my score from 8 to 6.
Now i comment only after having voted on all the pictures.

71 votes, 4 comments, seems kinda slow

I have learned that the score and amount of votes don't really have a lot to do with each other. RiderGal, you said you have a score of 5.2 with 0 comments...well I have 3 comments with a score of 4.5 and they are all good comments. My picture for the Symmetry challenge had 26 votes but ended with a 5.1. So don't worry about the comments, as long as you're happy with the picture and with the score, it's all good!

I only have one comment also, actually after going through and voting on all the glass submissions, I honestly can say there weren't very many wows and there weren't many that stood out as having a problem to where a suggestion on how to improve could be left. I am wondering if very many others have the same feelings towards the challenge and just don't know where to start with the comments.

I had zero until a minute ago. It now states -1, seriously. I guess someone retracted their comment before posting it.

I saw 3-4 WOW's and 20-30 Yucks,wasn't very impressive this time!

Ahhhhh heck, I am just having fun...thats what this site is all about, have fun, learn...it would be worse if no one at least voted..don't worry about no comments..Yeah I like to read what others say, but I am not going to waist my time worrying about it if they don't...just be happy we have this site to show off our talents...

Also I think there are some smart Alecks that are immediatelly giving lower points on pictures of bottles and glasses because they are immediatelly declaring like somebody elses art work. So all of us that were using "bottle" or "glass" should expect lower results or we have to add in the title that we made that bottle or glass (I think the art work on the bottle or glass).

I think I've voted on 200 of the images so far but only posted 4 comments there's just a lot of technically good or bad shots and not a whole lot of wow factor to most of this challenge (IMO anyways.)

I think every challenge is hard! That may be because I am a virgo and never feel satisfied with the stuff I take and am in need of constant reassurance, ah poor me! Well I have given about 14 or 15 comments voted on 58 or so, thus far and have received 1 comment on 105 votes.

This is only my second chanllenge and it's watching the votes come in and the score going down.

Thanks to all that voted for my first entry in the transportation challenge.

Should of been 'it's fun watching the votes come in and the score go down'

I think that it's sometimes alright to score low and get good and constructive comments because we learn a lot from it... at least I do.

I wasn't really expecting high scores; I wanted to dash in with the best I had so I could be *in* the contest, even though after looking at everyone else's mine sucks. :-> Though at least only one other person had the concept I did (and achieved it far better), so I won't be lost in the maze of 'oh, look, another glass full of water.' (Which isn't to say I don't like good shots of glasses full of water, I'm just using it as an example of something there was a lot of).
