It's basically a Free Study with voters required to believe that the photo entered is not the typical type of photo entered by the photographer. Also, it seems to me that some people misunderstood the topic as being that the subject is supposed to be out of character.

As I just finished writing in the post notes for my entry, I shot outside my usual style and pp'd it very differently from what I would do too, but the subject matter certainly isn't foreign to me. Anyway moving on now.

I never saw that as a requirement anywhere. I went with entering something processed differently than I usually enter, hence out of character for me.

It wasn't a requirement, hence I used the term "misunderstood" ;-)

Back in the day, the forums would be filled with controversies about challenges that use the honor system when it comes to the topic. These days, voters seem to easily lose sight of the topic if they like the image and also the forums are generally dead anyway. I'm still enjoying myself though and that's all that matters to all of us, right? :)

Sorry. I misread. This topic really was one of the hardest, though, to interpret. That's half the fun of it though, IMO... it always makes me smile when voters start talking about the honor system.
