I''ll take care of it. . .lol! I''ll be turning this map business over to the admins if they want to continue it. Kinda fun, huh? You will have to redo it when you see your "person" disappear.

My icon ended up northeast of my actual location -- seems like you should be able to enter city and state/province info and have the map place the icon...then we would be able to "feed" info from the database into the mapping program and place everyone.

I didn't make the thing! I just found it and thought it might be useful. . .

This is a great idea! My dot is off too, since I couldn't get the map to scroll, but I already learned that there is someone else in the same metro area.

Bah, that map only seems to work in IE. I use Opera, which already makes DPC a bit challenging because the menus at the top don't work and there aren't links to everything at the bottom of the page. If something like that gets incorporated (which is a nice idea) it would be cool if it could be more friendly to other browsers.

Works fine in THE browser, Mozilla! ;)

... and also with the ONLY browser. Konqueror ;-)
But I second that about DPC.

Ask them to give you a tow to shore.

They do not seem to understand Chinese and I would much like to have my toe back now, rather than at the shore.

Wow the east coast looks a bit crowded, you guys need to spread out ;)
08/04/2002 06:19:29 AM · #20
Don't worry, Mieka. I sent some Chinese dolphins to help you out. (Complete with a typo, but dolphins don't spell well.)

I took Mieka out of the water, but she has to put herself back on the map since I don't know exactly where to put her.

I had no idea you guys would like this map so much. I think it will limit itself at 100 members. There is a fee to upgrade to 500 members so I'll look into it if you guys really like it. Oh, I removed Betty's twin in BC, too!
