Give it a minute. Only one minute... (It starts slowly) Then... cry with laughter... as I did.

I didn't laugh once sorry ;) But you Americans seem to laugh at different things than us down under. I did however find a comment down below the video which was very very very disturbing to say the least!!

Who is Mike Rowe anyway?

Lydia, our good old Ken (ROFLMAO) beat you to it on Facebook - I watched it a while ago, and I loooooooooved it, too!

I am in Brisbane, Australia - a.k.a. "down under", too, and I found it hilarious!!

Then again, I did spend 8 years in the US, so maybe you guys rubbed off on me ... I certainly could really relate to the Walmart thing.

Mind you, the name Mike Rowe meant nothing to me, either.

Go ahead everyone....... it is 10 minutes long, but I thought it was 10 minutes of delightful entertainment.

Mildly amusing, but I suppose if it were an email from my mother I would find it as funny as Mike did.

For those who don't know who Mike Rowe is, he's a host on an assortment of US TV shows, including 'Dirty Jobs' (he goes around doing 'dirty jobs'), and 'Deadliest Catch' (following Alaskan crab fishermen in the Bering Sea). He does a lot of commercials, too, and voice-overs.

True story: Mike once worked for the same company I worked for, only about 10 years earlier. That company has a yearly "alumni" crab feast, which I sometimes attend. Each year, they have a big board up, listing the former employees they haven't been able to find. Every year, Mike Rowe's name is on the board. I always wonder how they are "unable to find" him. He's everywhere, and his mom & dad still live in town.

I won't say I cried with laughter, but I did find the video amusing.

On a serious note there were parts that I could really identify with. When my Mom's bag (purse) was stolen in a smash and grab from my car about nine years ago, I made the cops go back to the scene of the crime with Dad and I in the hope of finding the bag and unwanted contents discarded nearby. Unfortunately we never got anything back.

I can understand why you might not have found this funny. It is akin to Americans understanding the humour associated with "Bogans", which to Ozzies is truly funny, but to others ... not so much.

I have had the good fortune of travelling to Oz on many occasions, rubbing shoulders with many of my mates, having had the opportunity to learn "Strine"... and an proud to say that I have probably visited more place in the Land Down Under than many of the people who live there.
