| The former 5th-place image in the "Glass V" challenge has been disqualified because the photographer has informed us she can't provide an original. She has tried recovery software, to no avail. Congrats to our new honorable mention! |

| So sad... I love that shot. That's happened to me before, though. Further proof gremlins exist. |

| My own fault for letting images pile up on my cards. I finally get around to cleaning them and this is what happens. I really thought I had a copy on my computer, but the gremlins got it, lol. I also tried a recovery program, but nothing. A bummer, but that's how the cookie crumbles. |

I always try to have two copies of the file somewhere, preferably on two types of media.
I'm old-fashioned about it, so after I copy the files to a hard drive, I keep them on the camera card until I've also backed them up to CD/DVD. However, I starting to consider using 64GB SD cards or USB thumb-drives instead of the optical media, since I can get just about a year's worth of images onto one for only 2-3 times the cost of the discs and in a lot smaller space. |

Can I submit for this challenge now? I might be able to get to 5th place!
Damm...this was the another one who I rated 9 and was expecting to have it in top 5. :(
I feel sorry for the DQ. |
